OBS black screen recording. help needed

So i downloaded OBS Studio so i could record a video to send to my friend. At first it worked fine because i didnt use my microphone. But when i set up my microphone so you could hear it 1. my Desktop Audio didnt pick up and 2. when i start recording everything goes fine, but when i go to my game (Rocket League for example) my OBS records a black screen for 2 to 3 seconds, and so is the same for when i return to OBS to stop the recording. I havent found a solution for this so if anyone knows a solution for this please help me out with it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated,
