So i have not been streaming for a long time, but have streamed quite a few games. Never had an issue like this before. If i play the game without streaming, no problem i can play for hours.. But if i try to stream via OBS, probably around 3 to 10 minutes in ( never timed it). Both of my screens will go black, if i am in teamspeak i can still talk to everyone and can hear them fine. But the game sound goes away. i have tried searching google lots, on these forums and others to no avail. Though i do not want to just keep trying things willy nilly because after my screens go, i am forced to do a hard restart. I would greatly apreciate the help.

i would like to note some changes i have made some do to running off of a laptop ( yes a good one .. gtx 860m)

-set 3d nvidia settings for obs to be sure it is running through gpu

-tried changing stream resolution from 1920 x 1080 down to 1600 x 900

-stream is running at 720p

-have updated directx via battlefield directory

-also i run in fullscreen mode

-am using game capture in my scene

-the monitor i am gaming from i am using a hdmi to dvi connector to connect to it
unfortunately i dont have dvi hookup on my laptop

DXDIAG included

Upload the log from OBS (Help -> Log Files -> Upload last Log File) and paste the link here. I almost feel like the gaming is just blowing up (so to say) based on my experiences with BF4 as of late.. can't even play the campaign anymore without it crashing or bugging out

Is this the first time you've tried streaming BF4? What you are describing is what happens when a system draws too much power via the GPU and it crashes and does not recover.

Also, the make of your laptop is important. Just because it has an 860M does not mean it is a good laptop, and there are two GTX 860M cards. One is based off of the Kepler GTX 760 and one is based off of the Maxwell GTX 750Ti. The latter is the better card.

asus ROG g750jm series specs are in diag. pretty certain its not the gpu as i have streamed quite a few diffrent games that are intense on graphics. gpu controlled anti alias, both texture settings set to medium rest set to ultra fps stays steady at between 70-80 fps. drops to 55 - 60 when streaming (at native). temps never go above 50c. Also i have experienced an issue like this on an old computer but i always have had been able to get back to desktop when it recovered, with a message saying that the driver/gpu had crashed and failed to recover. i feel like this is some sort of compat issue. rather than a memory dump or driver/gpu crash

Oh boy. ASUS. Wonderful.

Temps are not your problem I'm sure. The problem might be your power draw.

expected when using x264

but i always have had been able to get back to desktop when it recovered, with a message saying that the driver/gpu had crashed and failed to recover.

Sometimes it just crashes real hard and cant recover, man.

as it says in the logs

The logs aren't gonna catch everything that goes wrong (assuming they're unrelated to the program itself)

DirectDraw capture: Windows 8 not supported yet

I get this, too. I also ignore it cause nothing blows up or has any issues (unless it's the game itself having issues).

Anything I find on your laptop pretty much has to do with either Nvidia drivers or a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE error/BSoD. This seems to be in line with your issue as losing video tends to be a driver issue (or it can be like my bro's 7850 where it causes the system to lock up entirely) or possibly the HDMI -> DVI thing you've got stuck in between

I dunno. D2 was pretty much gonna be your best bet as I'm more knowledgeable on the desktop end than I am on laptops
