Question / Help OBS/Avermedia C875 Black screen

Hello all!

I've never really been on the forums. I've been browsing and browsing for the past few hours because I'm extremely desperate on how to fix this issue. I bought the Avermedia C875 LGP from my friend (who previously used it without issue) for $75, so I'd rather not have to sell it.

I'm using the 32-bit version of OBS. I have the LGB Stream Engine selected as the recording device under Video Capture Device, and I've also tried closing all other Apps/Programs, and exiting out my webcam. I only get left with a Black Screen. I believe my settings are correct between the LGP engine and OBS, but it wouldn't hurt if someone could suggest settings or tell me what to use. Thank you!

I have a LGP and it works great using the Stream Engine with OBS multiplatform. Is there an issue preventing you from using that version?

Also, are you using Chrome as your browser? My LGP never works if Chrome is open -- even if it's running in the background, which it is prone to do. You can either open your Task Manager and stop the chrome services, or...
  1. Open Chrome
  2. Go to settings (the three lines under the "X" Close button)
  3. Click "Show advanced settings" at the bottom the page
  4. Under "System" check off "Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed"
  5. Close Chrome (and now all its background processes)
