OBS audio/video out of sync

Hello,

I am using my Panasonic Lumix DMC -GX85K DSLR camera as a webcam with a J5 Create JVA02 Live Capture Adapter HDMI™ to USB-C™ with Power Delivery
. The picture looks amazing, but the audio is a second AHEAD of the video. I have attempted to adjust the mixer's "sync offset" in the advanced settings, and I also added a filter to the video to utilize the "Video Delay (Async)" filter. The problem is when I increase the delay in milliseconds, the sync gets worse, It looks like - in order to fix MY problem - I need to be able to input NEGATIVE values for the Video Delay (Async) - which the settings do not allow - in order to sync my video because it gets better the lower that number is, and at zero...it's CLOSE but still annoyingly out of sync. I'm sure I'm missing something, but I cannot seem to figure this out. Can someone please advise?

DId you figure this out? I am working on the same problem. It does appear that within the advanced audio properties section you can adjust the audio delay in ms there and it also takes negative input. My struggle is that adjusting there appears to make the monitored video and audio come within sync but when I check the stream destinations it is still badly out of sync.

I seem to be experiencing a similar result using OBS 25.0.8 on the Mac. I m getting roughly half a second delay between audio and video out of my video capture device (the audio being played ~450ms ahead of the video). Normally this is solved by using the OBS Sync Offset feature under Advanced Audio Properties. But in this version of OBS the feature is not working. I find that a negative millisecond adjustment makes the problem worse (increases the audio delay), as expected, but a positive adjustment makes no difference. I see the delay in the live capture capture, so not a video encoder issue.

did you ever resolve this?

I did n't have this problem with VHS until I started using VHS-C adaptor in my VCT and it is about 5000ms.

I had to down load a VST delay to make it work. I used Voxengo Sound Delay.
