We are trying a temporary setup until new encoder hardware arrives.
We have a TriCaster we are taking output to OBS. The video comes through clean. No amount of setup can get the audio to playback or stream.
Initially we tried to get Audio from the HDMI. It came through like it was a motorboat for lack of a better description.
We then went to an Aux cable to the laptop for the audio. The motorboat in the meter stopped, but the little audio we could hear had disappeared.
We tried all of the Advanced settings monitor Off, monitor On. Went into Windows and checked to make sure OBS wasn't muted, I have done 8 hours of internet searches today, and tried everything.
We can stream to Facebook, the video is great, with no audio. So it's not even a setting that keeps us from hearing it local. It isn't processing somehow.
We did connect a camcorder with HDMI. The video and audio came through perfect. But this isn't an acceptable solution for our needs. I really need that audio feed to work.
