Question / Help obs audio issues

i'm almost at the end of the tunnel. for some reason i cannot get my audio from gaming pc to carry over to my streaming setup. i've only gotten it to work a few times and i always mess it back up due to not being able to properly test each setting. i'll stream for a few mins see that there's no audio and try different changes. and then i'll get some progress by getting the audio to work on the streaming pc and then not able to get the mic to carry over as well. one time that i was able to get everything to work, my mic ended up being low and so i downloaded voicemeeter to be able to raise my levels a bit. but if you have any tutorials or something to help me understand the audio part that would be greatly appreciated. i don't know what else to try.

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/121313109 I don't know if you'll be able to view that or not but that just from this morning. and i had my sound and mic transferring over to the stream. i'm not sure if a team was able to hear me since i was just testing things on a bot map. but yeah i don't really know too much bout the audio portion other than every video i watch about the dual setups say how much of a bitch dealing w/ the audio portion is.

end goal: to get the sound to carry over to my stream pc, and be able to control my mic volume and game volume so that the game volume is not too loud for the stream, but it's loud in my headphones. and a nice mic level so that the game volume aint over the mic level. what would i need to do to achieve this?

anyways, thanks for reading. and anything helps!

Set your desktop audio to your default device in Audio settings (or open dropdown menu and select your defaulñt device)
Do the same for your mic

Output settings: In case you use advanced settings ,set audio trak to 1 (select track 1) Or use Simple settings

Via menu: Edit---> Advanced audio properties or clicking the mixer cog above scenes and sources, make sure your desktop audio and mic , both have track 1 selected. For streaming you don´t need to select any other track.
For recording porposes, you can select both desktop and mic in track 1; desktop also in track 2 and mic also in track 3.
This way, track 1 used for streaming will have both desktop and mic sound. And when you record, track 1 will have both sounds mixed, track 2 will have only desktop and trak 3 willhave only your mic.

USe sample sample rate in OBS and in windows
OBS sample rate is set in audio setings and you can select 44.1 Khz or 48 Khz
Windows sample rate is selected via speakers icon right below. Left click ---> Playback devices. Select default audio device and double click. Go to Advanced options and select same 44.1 or 48 Khz.

i kind of understand. u didn't really make it clear when i where to make changes in obs and the sound settings on the pc. or atleast i couldn't decipher the two. but what i got from it is that have all the sample rates matching (i use 48 khz dvd quality). when u say have both track 1 selected. what do u mean by that? in obs or the sound settings on my pc. the only time i see something about track 1 and etc is in obs - audio - where they have the sample rate and channel and desktop audio device. in which case if u are i don't have a track 1 or track 2. the options in obs settings - audio give me a list of things such as
default
cable input
avt - gl310 (capture card)
speakers
optical output speakers
voicemeeter
benq monitor
