Over the last few years I have utilized OBS as a form of therapy. Like many autistic people I think in pictures. As with many PTSD suffers traumatic imagery will frequently become invasive. I have found using OBS as a toy broadcast studio has helped significantly.
I use OBS as a YouTube controller which allows me to mix videos as thought I was running a TV station. I use this as a toy and I find it incredibly fun. I make myself a program before bed each night that I watch on the bus to work the next day. Because I am mixing videos as opposed to editing them it plays very much like a video game. An unexpected benefit is that it has significantly reduced the amount of traumatic and invasive imagery.
How this works for me is by creating content that carries a similar emotional message to traumatic situations it gets my mind out of a sort of loop.
As an example: My home town experienced some rather bad rioting in recent years. Here is what sorting throught that looks like

I used to be an educator so I think of that account as a way to teach viewers what what I have come to think of as Ducktape Filmmaking. As in a show slapped together on the fly.
Music is a powerful tool for evoking an emotional response. The tension created by the combination of the music and the imagery of the invading army, for me, create a similar sense of tension to what I recall feeling watching the city around me become a war zone. The feeling is similar but obviously WAY less intense. Over time I have begun to associate that emotional state with playing with this toy as opposed to the riots.
Being a visual thinker means, for me, that closing my eyes is often like turning on a TV that I have no control over.
As I have played with this toy I have seen a significant drop in invasive imagery.
I really feel like this could be helpful to a lot of young people who are coming to grips with the events of recent years. We are all traumatized right now.
I am fortunate in that I have insurance that allows me to seek professional psychological help. Most folks don't have that option.
This sort of thing is already happening in VR spaces, my question is why in the world doesn't YouTube allow streaming YouTube at YouTube.
Licensing for in universe content is FAR from a tough nut to crack. MixCloud has sorted out licensing for music so we know it is not impossible. This seems like the hugest DUH ever. Just think of how much easier licensing would be for YouTube creators if the licensable material came from in universe sources.
Fair split between YouTube, the person serving as broadcaster and the content creators they are streaming.
The point of every platform is to engage and maintain audience. There currently are no platforms that allow this sort of streaming. No one can stop it from happening in the growing VR spaces. All YouTube is doing is pushing underground what could be used to increase platform engagement.
Anyone have any idea how to get someone with decision making power at YouTube?
