Hi,
I have a Problem and i need your help!
When i try to stream WoW in 64bit Mode, i instantly get a Crit Error in WoW.

I use the Game capture and when i click the "start streaming" or the "stream prewiew" button i get instantly the Crit error and if i try to start WoW i get it again. I tried to open WoW first and then obs, i tried to open ops first and then WoW and everytime i get the error!

If i use DX9 for WoW then i get the Error not instantly but i get it anyways.

If i use the 32Bit version, nothing happens.

I hope you can help me!

edit: i use the version 0.466a and i also tried the test version 0.467.
edit 2: the Crit error has the number 132.

There are a few possibilities. Are you using either teamspeak overlay or mumble overlay, or afterburner overlay, or maybe even fraps or something? These things can cause the game to crash when used with game capture. Though for some reason I doubt it in this case. Another thing is that laptops currently have some issues with game capture as well.

Other than that, my recommendation for the time being would be to run WoW in some sort of windowed mode and use software capture->window capture on it (make sure aero is on, by the way). It also gives great performance and bypasses some of the pitfalls and bugs that game capture can occasionally have.

hi and thanks for your quick answer!

i used fraps too, but i thought it could be fraps and i turned it off and tried it again, and still got an error. Is this possible that fraps killed it so i have to reboot? didn't tried it yet cause i can't reboot now.

This is a problem I'm having on only 1 of my computers.

I have 2 computers. One that is running windows 8 64 bit and one that is running windows 7 64 bit. Both computers are running wow 64 bit.

On the windows 8 computer it works flawlessly.

On my windows 7 computer it crashes the moment i start streaming or I start preview. Tried opening in different orders. Made sure nothing was running in the background that could cause it to crash. Not sure what's happening exactly.

So, I changed WoW to run in DX9 instead of 11. Now it doesn't crash on stream start / preview start. What it DOES do is match my FPS in game to the FPS of the stream.

I have it on 1600x1050@30fps. Both WoW and the stream hover just over 20fps. Wow usually plays ~ 60-100 fps.

It's an older computer with 4gb of ram. But it's only using 3gb of ram, and the CPU (a core 2 quad 9550 @ 2.83ghz) is only hovering at ~ 60-70% useage.

I've tried both versions of OBS that I can downloads. Any suggestions?

After rebooting, and not starting Fraps, it works normaly!

I hope it will be fixed, so i can fraps and stream at the same time! But for now, thanks for your help and thanks for the awesome job on this Project!
