OBS and Powerpoint

I have configured Powerpoint to run using a Window Capture source, but when I try to advance to the next slide, OBS changes to the first scene, losing Powerpoint. What am I doing wrong?

Of you want to do the window capture you have set PP options with the browses with individual window. You will loose preseter view and some other functions. If you want to keep presenter view, use screen capture. If you don't have enough monitors to do that but have open display ports you can use a dummy dongle. The computer will thing there's a monitor, you can have the PP display there and capture it without there actually being a visible monitor.

I do have two monitors. I have Powerpoint running in an Individual window, and can see the source no problem. It's just when I try to advance to the next slide, OBS changes sources.

What are you doing to try and advance to next slide. Do you have OBS window active and trying to interact there (a mistake, btw)
OBS is showing you various sources (generally yo don't interact with those source s(windows) within OBS
Go to PPT (click, make active) and change slide (down arrow or whatever)
I'm guessing you are hitting arrow key with OBS active application which OBS is taking as hotkey action for itself, not PPT
