I'm not entirely sure if its my system or just the software but after streaming for a while my system will hardlock usually it happens when using OBS or after using OBS to stream.

*wipes sweat from forehead in preparation*

OBS can't actually directly cause a hard lock of the computer. Typically if your computer is hard locking then it could be faulty hardware, poor overclock, or overheating. (or really really bad drivers, but it's very rare for drivers to do that)

Streaming is fairly CPU/GPU intensive when combined with gaming, so you will be more likely to experience latent instabilities when streaming than when not. You're encoding, gaming, and capturing video all at the same time, so you're using a lot of your system power to do so, so you will be more likely to experience any existing (again, existing) instabilities while streaming and gaming than any other activity.

Ah i see.. So *deep breath* i take it hardlocks and freezes are somewhat of a norm when streaming?
If so thank god i was about to go through each part of my PC again and test them.

But just to add you may be right about the hardware this Mobo has been a bit of a rough ride seeing as i had to jump from SATA6 to a SATA3 because installation of anything causes it to crash.

They aren't the norm when streaming, no. Not at all. I was simply saying that it exposes existing instability just because of its intensive nature.
