OBS and GPU

Hello,
I installed the latest version 27.1.3 on a Dell XPS laptop, Win 10 up to date. From the launch of OBS, the resources of the intel GPU panic and go up to 100% of use. I have tried multiple settings between OBS and the graphics settings of Windows GPU intel and Nvidia. Nothing really changes. I didn't have this problem on previous versions.
I tried the recommendations from the post https://obsproject.com/forum/thread...ing-too-long-to-encode-read-this-first.23334/

Dell XPS 15" ; i9 GPU 630; 32Go ; Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti

I am attaching a screenshot of the resources and a log.
With some settings, although resources remain high, analysis of the report indicates no problem; with other settings (win) report analysis indicates GPU resource problem

A bug with the processor GPU ?
Impossible not to use only the GTX ...

(On a Macbook Pro i9, AMD Radeon no problem)

Thanks for your help
Franck

who uses DELL's XPS 15 with i9/GPU630 (or another intel) and Nividia GTX?
Do you have a problem with integrated GPU resource even without starting video capture (only open OBS)?
thank you

update intel GPU drivers via intel utility; always the integrated GPU which races when opening OBS without having started to capture

I specify that the problem appeared with version 27.1.3
and when I launch the capture, the integrated GPU (3D) becomes "normal" again, the encoding is carried out by the Nvidia card

Hello,
with the latest version of OBS, the weight of the video captures is lower than before (about 3 times)
Has the default video codec been changed?
my video capture settings:
custom output ffmpeg; MKV container; Bitrate 10Mbps 1080p 30fps; libx264
Before 27.1.3: 45min 750 Mo
With 27.1.3:
45min 240 MB
The quality seems identical to me.

Despite small optimizations here and there, the general behavior of OBS hasn't changed since years. If it vastly changed for you, it's due to some thing you did with configuring OBS or with your computer.

If you don't really know what you're doing and changing configuration items for trial & error, and you don't see immediate results, always revert your changes back to the default. Your changes might have undesirable side effects you observe later, but you're unable to relate this to that change you made earlier, and so you are surprised and might think "wow, there has been such an unexpected change" without realizing you were it yourself.

If you have issues, I suggest you make a clean start with OBS by creating a new profile in OBS, then use Tools->Auto configuration wizard. This first creates a profile with default settings, then applies recommended settings suited to your hardware. If you made any changes to Windows settings taken from some guide around the internet, locate them and revert all of them. If in doubt, start fresh with resetting your PC to default.

Thank you for your reply. Indeed I looked more closely on this PC and FPS had been modified hence the change in volume of the videos.
I have since recreated profiles - And the quality of today's videos are very good (quality / file size)

On the other hand, on the DELL XPS, despite a reinstallation and reset of the OBS parameters, upon opening the integrated GPU is very busy (before having started recording). Apart from the classic Windows updates, nothing has changed on the PC ... I'm looking. And something else on this PC, I have a yellow frame around the screen to show me the recorded area. I use OBS on several PCs and it is the only one that has this yellow frame ...

Otherwise, I love this software! good continuation to dev.
