i am currently streaming to Facebook but i lose sound as soon as i broadcast on Facebook.
My capture card picks up sound through the capture card as i can see the sound bars bounce on the audio mixer.

also, OBS doesnt come up on my laptop's audio mixer

You should scan that log yourself
You have errors on mic devices.. maybe some clean up in your device list needed?
You also have 2 different audio sampling rates (not good)
And you are connecting via WiFi (always a bad idea for a latency/jitter sensitive traffic like a live stream)

More simply, have you played with Advanced Audio settings for your sound input device(s) and set to Monitor only (ie not output to stream)?

Thanks Lawrence for the reply, appreciate it. I'm completely new to video/audio editing, I did spend 10-15 minutes looking through the log before posting, but wasn't sure what I was looking for other than 'audio' and 'error'.

There are two devices that I'm not using for my Stream, Desktop Audio and Mic/Aux. So I have muted them. I can see I can 'hide' them from the audio mixer, but I don't think I can remove them, I assumed 'hide' is purely cosmetic:

I can see the two different rates you've mentioned for the audio in the log; 48000 and 44100. I'm not sure where I can amend them, other than the overall sample rate in the above image which is set to 48kHz.

My PC isn't wifi enabled, it's 100% ethernet I'm quite picky on using ethernet for all devices, so I'm not sure what this is in the log;

The only two devices I require sound for is Elgato HD and xsplit Cam, and they are both set to Monitor and Output.

If you think any other screenshots may be of any use, let me know. If there are any general settings you would recommend, that would be great.

I have streamed this evening for around 3 hours, with no audio issues. The only thing I changed from last night was OBS being run as Admin, could be a coincidence. Had a scan through the latest log, and the sample rates are still 44100 and 48000, and that wireless device is not mentioned.

Again, thanks.

Correct Hide would be cosmetic, I believe (never done so myself)

I ran into Audio issues and a quick fix was to disable all of those Global Audio devices (overkill, I know, but worked for me)
I then ONLY added desired audio sources into specific scenes (my scene list is over 25). Now, no echo, no loops, no hidden gotchas, etc

The only two devices I require sound for is Elgato HD and xsplit Cam, and they are both set to Monitor and Output.

You have the option to Mute an Audio Input. So if Desktop Audio 0%, you could just mute it (or when muted does it show 0%... my OBS PC is off, so I can't check). Again, if not using Desktop Audio and Mic/Aux then I'd disable them in the Global Audio. There are reasons not to do that, but for now, to get things fixed, would be a good start (I think... I could also be way off base... but works for me)

Running as Admin typically only relevant for giving OBS priority if running into CPU/GPU contention issues. I do not run OBS as admin (never have)

Glad to hear it worked ok. When running as Admin vs not, assuming your normal user profile doesn't have Admin rights, means using a new User Profile (so you'd have had to redo your settings, or used old settings, etc. I suspect if you compare the Advanced Audio properties between running as Admin and what you had before (when not working) was Output wasn't enabled on the Elgato or Xsplit

Great, thanks. I will try these suggestions and see how the next few days pan out:

The two audio devices I no longer need have disappeared in the mixer, which should simply things a bit.

I think the Admin setting was just a coincidence to be honest. Just me clutching at straws I guess.

I have also changed the sample rate to 44100 in the settings, so the 2 devices match (checked the log, and they do). Not sure why the Webcam was 44100 and the Elgato was 48000 as you can only change the overall sample rate in the global settings.

Thanks Lawrence for all your help.
