Hey guys! So I am having a strange issue.
Well I picked up an Elgato Game Capture HD 60 the other day so I can stream my PS4. When using OBS (32bit) I can get it to recognize the Game Capture HD software as a Video Capture Device. However whenever I try to preview or start the stream with that Source on, OBS just crashes instantly.
Ok so I figured, maybe I will try the OBS multi-platform since it's newer and whatnot. Well a bit more success. Using the Video Capture Device seemed to work a lot better. However for some reason only either OBS or Game Capture HD software could display video, one or the other not both. I would get a "in use by another program" on one or the other screen. Well after some finagling I got the video to display on OBS (and not the Game Capture HD software) and I thought I had it done! However...I had no audio, all the PS4 audio was coming through the Game Capture HD software and therefor I couldn't capture any audio, just the video.
In the end I ended up just doing a window capture on the Game Capture HD software, but the audio delay was insane.
Does anyone know the proper way to stream video and audio with the Elgato Game Capture HD software and OBS? I'm fairly confused on how all this works, I really wasn't expecting so many issues with OBS crashing and the Multi-platform version not capturing audio :(
