Question / Help Obs and elgato capture card

Hello guys,

I've recently started livestreaming on youtube with obs and elgato. It works good however i have 1 slight issue.
When i record the quality is fine, it's the recorded voices that bothers me.

I use my pc mic to record my own voice, and their voices over the tv. However if someone talks loud my pc mic picks up that voice. Which ofcourse causes a little echo (like someone is talking in the background) I tried to remove it by using my bluetooth headset. However when i do that it doesn't record the voices of me fellow crew members.

Seems like it only records the voices when i play them over my tv which causes the echo.

Could someone explain me how i can fix this issue?

Thanks in advance,

Nitivity

You could try using the noise gate plugin (included with OBS) to prevent the mic from being recorded until its input reaches a certain level, or just turn down/mute your TV if you're already using a headset of some sort. Don't configure your console to output voice chat to "headset only" though, or it won't be sent along with the rest of the game audio to your Elgato.
