Question / Help OBS and Bitdefender. They don't get along!

I've done everything under the sun to try and get OBS to stream with the Bitdefender Firewall still enabled. I've given it permissions, I allowed it through ports going outbound, inbound and both. I can't get it to work at all. The only time I can stream with OBS is if I completely disable the firewall all together. I think everyone knows how much of a security risk that can be though... :\

you do know that there is a firewall built into windows vista/7/8.1/10 that is very adequate as a firewall. not including the one in your home router that does nat and when set properly will keep out the bad stuff. I am not familiar with that firewall program so sorry I cannot help, just giving you input on what I use.

I do know that rtmp is over TCP port 1935 but you shouldn't need to do anything as this is a connection out, not in.

Yeah you shouldn't need a separate firewall, the Windows firewall is more than sufficient.
