OBS and 4K60 Pro Issue

Hey everyone,

So I have a dual PC setup with my gaming PC going into my capture rig with a 4k60pro mk2. Capturing and playing at 4k60. I'm having an issue where the framerate in OBS is choppy/stuttery unless I open 4k capture utility. For some reason, opening 4k capture utility makes the framerate in obs super smooth, but it means I need to have obs and capture utility open at the same time in order to use obs without frame drops, so I've just been recording using capture utility. This doesn't help me for live streams though where I need obs.

I've seen someone else with this exact issue too and we can't work out why it's happening. Any ideas?

Bro I have the same problem except that opening 4k capture utility doesn’t solve it for me. doing so makes the source unusable for recording / streaming cause on OBS the preview displays some vertical lines flickering in the bottom part of the preview sometimes even at the top and on capture utility the preview is all purple/pink so the only way I can use the source is by having just one of them open. Strangely, the avermedia live gamer 4K operates better on both OBS and RECentral
