OBS Aero + Monitor Capture

Windows that are covered by other windows are captured when Aero is disabled.

You really need to put that somewhere near the monitor capture/aero disabled option.
E.g. "Will capture windows above other windows"
re-explaining this over and over is ridiculous

"turn aero back on"
"I did, the check box is checked"
"no, no, no, uncheck the box, that is a disable aero box"

kind of annoying to have to repeat this over and over.

This is sort of like (in Quake Live's console):
having r_noParticleTrails 0... does that mean its on or off?
Much simpler solution: r_particleTrails 0... ah i see! It is off, no second guesses there!

Or just keep Aero enabled and don't use Monitor Capture? You should never need to be using monitor capture.

Not what they do, they will generally turn off aero seeing the performance gain from monitor capture (i mean 14 fps compared to 60fps?) then just leave that option on for OBS. Then they complain that the window capture is messed up, because it will show overlapped windows.

Some sort of telling them this would happen would save alot of typing, and time.

Also, monitor capture was used by me alot for streaming coding, and aero being off was usually essential from the bad FPS. Now the new game capture DWM is so much better (but aero needs to be turned on, leading right back to this problem!)
