My obs acts very wierd when i first start it up. It acts slow when i start streaming then when i swtich scenes for the first time it freezes up and then starts to act perfectly fine. When I switch scenes for the first time my FPS drops to like 4 or 5 and my kb/s shoots up from 2000 to 3800. i have no idea why this happens. After i switch scenes a few times everything acts fine. My bitrate stays at 2000 kb/s. I have all of my capture cards and webcams added as global sources so here should be no lag. But why does it lag when i first start it up?

Do you use a splash screen? Add your capture devices to it, hidden behind your splash image. Global sources only initialize the first time they're used, so can cause a delay on the first time they're called. Hiding them behind the splash ensures that they're all ready to go after your intro music/video.
