- 23:04:54: Failed to get nvenc instance
- 23:04:54: NVENC internal init failed
Try using x264 and see if it works. If it doesn't, then it could very well be a NVENC issue, likely corrupted drivers. Previewing using NVENC for me works just fine, so it's not OBS. If nothing else, try a clean installation of your drivers. For best results, run the installer and do the "clean install" in safe mode, so the drivers don't interfere with your new installation (which CAN happen).
If doing the safe mode instance, I believe you're using a form of Windows 8. If this is true, you need to set windows to "reboot" with safe mode enabled; hitting F8 on boot doesn't do anything in Windows 8. So look this up, do this, restart, run the installer and when it asks you to reboot DO NOT DO IT. Instead, say "restart later" and then set windows to boot as normal this time. That way, the installer will continue to run/install your drivers when you reboot into windows normally. Then you should be set. If all of this fails and x264 STILL works, please let us know.
Also, are you on Windows 8 or 8.1? More information never hurts.
ALSO, this is important, if NVENC still fails after you've tried all of the above, please try using Shadowplay. If Shadowplay works, then we'll have cut out a large number of problems it could "not" be.
