Dear All,

I have installed OBS 32bit for the first time. While starting the app, i am getting Error - Failed to initialize video. Your GPU may not be supported or your graphics drivers may need to be updated. Attaching log file and screen capture from directx diagnostic tool.

Any help on this error would be highly appreciated.

Regards,
KP

To put it very bluntly, that computer should be retired.

It's 13 years old. Single core low-power CPU from 2007. On-board graphics which only support up to DX9.0c (this is the actual reason it's giving you the error). It is not cut out for modern tasks, and especially not real-time video encoding (driver technicalities aside).

Please understand, not everyone is in a position to upgrade computers with time.
But people like me do have aspirations and want to overcome challenges with whatever limited resources they have.

Thanks for your blunt response though.

I understand. But asking 13 year old technology to do things that are at least 3 generations out of its league is just not possible.

The graphics unit on that machine is directx 9 capable. OBS requires directx 10.1, which was released the start of 2008. There is no way you will be able to run OBS on this hardware, it misses vital hardware functions.
If you think about acquiring an external graphics card, don't do it. The CPU on this mainboard isn't able to perform any kind of video encoding, because it's way too weak.
It's a miracle you got even Windows 10 running on that machine. How long do you need to boot and log in? I guess it will take about 10 minutes from switching it on and having the desktop available for input after logging in.
