OBS 29.1.1 portable not loading Elgato Stream Deck plugin

Heya,

I've run into the issue that OBS 29.1.1 portable isn't loading the Elgato Stream Deck plugin properly.

I have already followed this method trying to get it to run, to no avail.
Is there another way of installing or moving this plugin, so that OBS can detect it in portable mode? It is running just fine when not in portable.

System Info: win10 x64, both OBS and Stream Deck (+ plugin) are up-to-date

As of OBS 29.0, the portable version no-longer loads system-installed plugins, as by definition this makes OBS "not portable".

You need to copy the plugin files manually to your portable OBS folder, but each time a new plugin is released by Elgato, you'll need to do that again.

I've made a script that makes that easier.

Ideally, it would be great if during the install wizard of the StreamDeck software we can elect to use the Portable Version of OBS and set our OBS Portable directory (and update it via the StreamDeck software).

Adding controls to the forms of both the wizard and application with that functionality wouldn't be too hard, and I'm surprised that Elgato has released a guide on how to copy the files to the right locations on their support page without considering this.

Maybe in future releases they might, but for now, my script should ease that pain.

I'm having the same issue. I don't have to move the program right now, but this needs to be fixed for backup purposes. Hopefully, they resolve this soon.
