Per OBS v28 Release Notes (yes, you are responsible for reading those), there is a MAJOR change to a component (QT5 to Qt6) requiring many plug-ins to be updated.
You (no one else) needs to check each plug-in you use, and their documentation on upgrade process (especially so as to not lose settings... see AdvSS thread on potential settings loss scenario to avoid)

No es responsabilidad de OBS esperar los complementos. Es responsabilidad del complemento mantenerse al día.
Sorry, I hadn't seen it from that point of view.
I guess continued use of "these benefits"
(at least in my case) it makes you think about OBS and plugins as a whole.

I will take care in the future.
I have asked ignorantly, but without malice.
I'm sorry if I've upset anyone.
Now I have a clear approach and synergies,
but in my very humble opinion this is an error.

Thanks for the clarification.

If OBS was NOT free, open-source software, I'd agree that the upgrade installer should check for (at least major) plugins that aren't compliant/compatible. but, in this FOSS world, it is far more often that you are handed a double-edged knife and expected to take care
I haven't upgraded yet, and won't to give the s/w time to settle down, and early adopter pain (they don't call it bleeding edge for nothing) to diminish. I'm looking forward to the update... but still producing my livestreams is more important, so patience is a virtue. Hopefully the installer has a warning about compatibility issues, backing up just in case, etc. but that may all be assumed??

Is this the reason after I run the installer I can see Advanced Scene Switcher in tools but when it opens I just see this....

Likely yes. Re-download and re-install the plugin, and it should work.

However, since you started OBS and probably closed it, your settings are probably gone. If you exported them to a file before upgrading, you can import that file in the new version. Otherwise you're re-building from scratch.
