Since my OBS has upgraded from 27.x to 28.1.2 the "OBS virtual camera" is not working in WebEx anymore. :-(
COULD NOT CONNECT TO CAMERA
Ensure the the camera device OBS Virtual Camera is connected and working, or change to a different cam.

In MS Teams the "OBS virtual camera" is wroking fine. :-/

Anyone has an idea where to look into?

Webex is such a nightmare! Just a brief description of my case: yesterday I wanted to give a demonstration of hybrid lectures to a delegation of Professors from the Ukraine in a lecture hall with 60 students; I have updated OBS on Monday and tested everything (ok, almost everything...). Recording worked (ok, I had to update the driver of the graphic board on the fly and restart the computer), but Webex? no virtual camera. So I gave a hybrid lecture with voice only for the remote students. What a perfect demonstration :( Did I already say, that webex sucks?? So for the developers: albeit no one likes Webex, please always check updates also with this software. Needless to say that I tested the virtual camera today with zoom and teams - no problem!
In case you are interested: this is the live hybrid setting I am actually using: https://youtu.be/M-qh2leeEJ4.

So when you tested this, you had which version of WebEx and OBS, on which platform. For now I'm on Windows... OBS 28.1.2 X64 and WebEx 42.12.2.14 X64... and OBS camera isn't visible in WebEx (it is visible in Teams, Zoom, and everything else)...

The problem was with version 28.1.2x. The problem has been solved and in the new version it should not appear any more - sse here: https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/issues/7751, and the actual commit reverted was this: https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/commit/bcb73cb5994d932c7a902e8585dabb25feeb251f

1. Please uninstall OBS 28.1.2 first. 2. download OBS 28.0.3 and then install it. 3. once installed go to C:\Program Files\obs-studio\data\obs-plugins\ folder and then copy this folder "win-dshow" to e.g. desktop folder. 4. uninstall OBS 28.0.3 and reinstall OBS 28.1.2. 5. Once installed, go to C:\Program Files\obs-studio\data\obs-plugins\ folder and then delete "win-dshow" folder, and then copy "win-dshow" folder from desktop folder to here( C:\Program Files\obs-studio\data\obs-plugins\). That's it. OBS virtual camera works again. OBS virtual camera is using Windows directshow plugins, but only OBS 28.0.3 directshow plugins is the only working one, so we have to copy it into another OBS version that virtual camera won't work.

Actually, you may use OBS v29.0.0 beta 3's win-dshow folder to replace OBS v28.1.2's win-dshow folder to make OBS virtual camera work as well. Once it is done, if you still can't share video from OBS virtual camera, please reboot your computer.

OBS just released v29.0, and the virtual camera is working perfectly. You may just use OBS v29.0 to solve virtual camera issues.

It doesn't seem to be working for me. Hmm. I got an upgrade message and every time I tried to do the update it said I was already up to date. So I downloaded it manually and installed it instead. It still doesn't allow the virutal camera to be used in WebEx for me.

Maybe a full uninstall, new install, and reboot after?

I'm open to suggestions. Looks like I can downgrade to 28.0.3 as well?
