OBS 26.0.2 "Failed to open NVENC codec: Unknown error occurred"

OBS was compiled from the Git-Repository as was ffmpeg. Nvidia drivers are up to date, Kernel version is 5.9 on Manjaro, CUDA is installed. In the OBS log file it is written that nvenc is supported. Nevertheless I get this error message: "Failed to open NVENC codec: Unknown error occurred". ffmpeg reports that nvenc is supported. I simply don't know what to do now. I've searched for answers to this problem but couldn't find anything useful.

NVIDIA Drivers are currently not fully compatible with Kernel 5.9 or newer.

This means that NVENC for example will not work.

Okay, didn't know that. Installed kernel version 5.8, recompiled ffmpeg, same error. Is OBS maybe incompatible with the latest stable nvidia drivers? Version 455 installed.

Nvidia NVENC onboard encoder will not work with linux kernels greater than 5.7 atm for whatever reason. Had the same issue and had to downgrade to 5.7.19
