Question / Help OBS 21.0.1 (32-bit) -- About 6 second delay before video output in Fullscreen Game Capture

Hello, I have been trying to use OBS and have noticed that in Fullscreen Game Capture modes there is about a 6 second delay in 32-bit (about 10 seconds in 64-bit version) before OBS is able to capture the window for recording. If I open the game, wait about 6 seconds then start recording with my hotkey then it will be fine. However, if I open the game and immediately press the hotkey the video is blank but audio is there for about 6 seconds then the video appears. The log mentions about a gl_capture free so I'm not sure what the specific problem is.

The log shows Daikatana v1.3, but this problem is not unique to this game. I tried Quake 2 and STALKER to verify that it wasn't something DK specific, and to make sure it wasn't a D3D or OGL specific issue.

My resolution is weird, 1856x1392@71hz since it is a large 21" CRT. I am not sure if this is related to the problem, but I can check to see if it is.

I should also mention that in windowed modes it's fine. Game capture will always start immediately.

EDIT: I just tried 1280x720 and it made no difference.

I also just tried disabling Kaspersky AV and noticed the time went down from 6 seconds to 3. Is this normal behaviour to have some sort of delay before it can properly capture the fullscreen window?

Are you also using an anti virus scanner? Like I said, disabling mine helped reduce the delay. Also, try 32-bit version. I noticed the delay isn't as large with 32-bit with recording a 32-bit program.
