Nvidia NVENC HEVC PBS 20.0.1

I have a question regarding the NVENC HEVC encoder in streaming & recording settings. In the recording settings I can see the nvenc hevc hevc but in the streaming settings I am limited to only hevc 264. See screenshots.
I have nvidia 3090 video card running windows 11. I have checked all updates on both video card & windows & both are up-to-date.

Most streaming services don't support hevc. In the update notes to 28 it is mentioned that hevc is supported by Youtube using the HLS service. As far as I know, the rtmp protocol doesn't support hevc, and rtmp/rtmps is what the vast amount of streaming services do offer.

It shows up on my system but I haven't installed StreamFX with OBS 28.0.1 yet & it appears you have.

When you select the service to stream to you'll notice it says Youtube - RTMP. Scroll down and select Show All...
Now scroll down once again and select Youtube - HLS

Done. You can now select the HEVC encoder.

PaiSand - that was the trick. We plan on using youtube HLS soon but I was set to RTMP at the moment. Appreciate everyone's reply on this!!

FYI, I use the Custom Service setting & it also exposes the HEVC encoder for streaming.
