well recently ive been having trouble recording videos because OBS (i use monitor capture) isn't working with my new laptop but OBS works much better on my old one... this is whats happening
so from what i know laptops can have two graphics cards the Intel (to save power i guess...) and the one i have that came with the laptop NVIDIA GeForce 940MX. so i put in my settings for OBS this time with the Nvidia GeForce graphics card as my video adapter and Nvidia NVENC as my encoder, when i hit my start button is says opening NVENC failed and i needed at least 334.89 for NVENC encoding and if i put the encoder to x264 the video is all black and the same thing happens if i put my video adapter on the Intel graphics adapter. ive tried to reinstall my drivers and fixing my settings but nothing seems to work... and the same thing happens for studio... can anyone help me with this if its solve able?
