Nvidia 3080Ti + Intel A380 For AV1 Encoding?

Sup everyone,

I use OBS to run my YouTube channel where I report on "THE GUY" Phil Burnell AKA DarkSydePhil, AKA The PigRoach. I have a quesiton.

I would like to use the AV1 codec with the newly released 29.0.0 and was thinking of grabbing a cheap A380 Intel card to do it. But I don't know if this is possible. I remember reading a few years back that a dual GPU setup is not supported. Is this Still the case???

I'd like to use the 3080Ti for gaming and use the A380 to encode my streams using AV1 instead of NVENC in the same system, or would I need to build an new setup around AV1 support. And no I have no itnerest in purchasing the overpriced GPU which is ADA.

I did some testing with my 3090 @ x8 4.0 & it wasn't good. Render times increased by 10, stuttering under certain workloads & 4k was trash. If you want to bottleneck your 3080TI, go for it.

You cannot use AV1 for streaming, only for local recording. While there is no technical support on any of the platforms.
