Nvida Background removal wont load.

Hi there obs legends!

I'm having issues installing Nvidia Background removal filter plug in this.

Latest Window update. (Windows 11)
Latest Nvida Studio drivers update from gforce thing
Latest obs update 31.0.1
Obs Portable mode.
RTX 4080ti laptop gpu (runing on a laptop)

This is from the logs

So the audio installed all good. not that i needed just wanted to test to see if it installed.

for some reason i cant get it it to load up. treid everything a not so super tech savy person could do.

I'm having the same exact issue on one of my machines loading up the Nvidia Video FX module.

Windows 11 Pro 24H2 OS build 26100.3037
Nvidia Game Ready Driver version 572.16
OBS 31.0.1 (tried both portable and desktop mode)

i9-9900k
Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070 FTW
32GB DDR4 RAM 4 x 8GB 2133MT/s

I have an older 8th gen machine with a 3060 that loads up the video FX just fine but I'm not able to figure out what is different with the newer set up aside from the fact that the older system had it loaded up a long time ago and now they have the nvidia 2.0 update that was just released.

I did try hitting up Nvidia to get more information but they weren't much help. I will attach my logs as well

Thanks for getting back to me hopfully the super smart people are about to figure out whats going on if its something a normal person can do to get it to work again

looks like they already found a fix for it here https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/pull/11814 should be out on 31.1 not sure when release will happen.

I am trying to install the 0.7.2 nvidia video FX as that one seems to be working on my other system. hopefully this fixes the issue for the time being while they work on the 31.1 release for obs

looks like this worked. I had a previous version for the video effect SDK 0.7.2 ampere RTX 30 series cards and installed it on my new pc with the 40 series card and THEN installed the video effects SDK 0.7.6 ada for the RTX 40 series card and it seems to work as now redistributables are found per logs

Only weird thing is now i have 2 versions of the blurred background
Nvidia Blur filter
Nvidia Background Blur Filter

First doesn't work but ladder does

once they release the 31.1+ obs update i'll be doing a clean install of the filter as i would like to steer clear of any negative implications this may have on my system as it's not the appropriate way to install the SDK

I dont see the option under filters for the NVIDIA Background Removal and I dont understand why. I see the NVIDIA Audio Effects though. My mind is puzzled.

Tossed around for about 4 hours troubleshooting the issue until I found this post. While it wasnt entirely obvious to me at first, OBS Discord was a tremendous help. If you load a previous version of the vfx plugin, it does work.
