Does the new NVENC encoder work on GTX 10 series cards?

yes, it has improved performance (but not improved quality as with RTX); see Jim's blog

i cant find the blog now. i saw the rendering steps went from like 5 to 2 but ppl dont believe me.

my bad, it's not online yet; yes you're right it's now 2 steps so much more efficient (i'm in the dev team)
