Question / Help NVENC failed to start recording

Hi all.

I have problem with NVENC.
I read some topics, copy DLL files to system32 and SysWOW64, copy dll attached from topics in OBS folder and nothing... still error.

All screenshots with info about my Asus Laptop and drivers etc.

Drivers GPU is up to date.

the 840m doesn't support nvenc.

[ GPU #0 - < GeForce 840M > has Compute SM 5.0, NVENC Available ]

it's wrong. Because the 840M doesn't support shadowplay, it doesn't have the hardware for nvenc in spite of that.

hmm. so CUDA is not the same as NVENC?
Decoding video with GPU working fine (CUDA)

no cuda is not the same as nvenc.
