NVENC Error "will not start recording"

Hey All,
I want to use OBS studio to capture old Digital Video home movies from a camcorder via Firewire. The laptop is an older Lenovo Thinkpad with Firewire. Ive set up OBS studio for capture but when trying to start recording I'm getting (The installed NVIDA driver does not support this NVENC version, try updating the driver). But my drivers are current. SO how do I resolve this?

Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...

The current OBS wants to run with a Nvidia driver of version 531.61 or higher. Since you didn't post a log, we don't know if your hardware is supported by current drivers, so that's all we can tell for now. In case you have older hardware not supported by current driver versions, you either need to do without Nvenc or try to use some older version of OBS that has a lower driver version requirement.

If selected encoder fails to start it is wise to choose other encoder in OBS Settings > Output and try again.
