NVENC encoder unavailable

Hello everyone,
I've just installed OBS Studio (v.30.20) and the most recent NVIDIA drivers (560.70). My laptop has a GeForce NVIDIA 940MX, which is compatible with the NVIDIA encoder. In spite of this, when I try to select the NVENC encoder, it is unavailable, even though I have the modern versions of both services. Obviously this laptop will work only for recording, Can someone explain me what's happening, why does not de NVENC encoder appear?

I think OBS was falling back to x264 on your previous install. You would need to look at a log if any are still in the folder.

Interesting 940MX listed with NVENC & without. The GPU is first gen but there are some variants that have a 4th gen encoder.

940MX's built on Chipsets GM107 or GM108S should have NVENC. Chipset GM108 is a non-starter.

Digging deeper, it appears GM108S is a non-starter too. Fire up GPU-Z see what Chipset (GPU) you have.
