Question / Help NV12 vs I420 - What's faster/better for x264?

Hey :)
so, again some very nerdy questions about some internals (im just curious)...

so x264 is using color format 4:2:0 (or 4:4:4 in lossless mode)

If i set my color Format to I420 will x264 convert it internally to NV12 or keep I420?

what would be the best color format for the fastest preview render? RGB?

Also, NV12 is a way to store data in memory. It's optimized for video cards. As color info it is still 4:2:0. Use NV12.
