So whenever OBS is open, I can see in the task manager that "System" is using around 20-30% of my CPU. The path leads to "ntoskrnl" under "system32".

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Ntoskrnl.exe is the Windows NT framework picture document that contains the windows portion, the official, the memory director, and the scheduler, and other framework parts. In a word, it's the crucial constituent of Windows NT framework. On the off chance that Ntoskrnl.exe is tainted or missing, the Windows boot-up cycle will break, and you couldn't enter your familiar desktop.

The Ntoskrnl.exe error messages will typically be one of following:
1. Windows NT could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: system32 ntoskrnl.exe
2. NTOSKRNL.EXE not found.
3. system32 toskrnl.exe missing or corrupt:
Please re-install a copy of the above file.
4. File ntoskrnl.exe could not be loaded.
The error code is 21.
Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit.

Unplug or turn off your webcam. Does CPU usage go down? If yes, reduce webcam resolution down to maybe 640x480.

Other places that CPU usage might be used by: having 2 GPU (graphics processing unit). if OBS-Studio is rendering on NVidia, and your display is on intel graphics, Some CPU usage is used to transfer data from one GPU to another. Does turning off preview reduce CPU usage?
