1. To unzip the .zip file of the release you may have to go into Properties since your Windows will try to block you and select "Unlock" so you can unzip the file.
2. Even after that to unzip you may have to use 7zip or another tool than Windows.
3. Once you have done that you need to copy the ".dll" file in "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\plugins\misc" (or where you have your VLC installed). If you don't know whichone to take, it's probably the x64 one
4. Restart VLC and go to Tools > Preferences > Select "Show Parameters : all" (small check box at the bottom left) > Interface -> Control Interfaces > Check Windows 10 SMTC integration save and restart VLC.
