Good morning! So, I've been trying to find the answer to this for about two days now but I can't find anything. Everything I've found either hasn't been specific enough to what my problem is or just didn't work.
I'm using Reflector 2 to try to stream Clash of Clans on OBS from my iPad/iPhone. I'm doing all of this using one laptop. My laptop is a LENOVO 1066AJU Lenovo V570 (PC). My operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) Service Pack 1 (build 7601). My processor is 2.40 gigahertz Intel Core i5-2430M, 64 kilobyte primary memory cache, 256 kilobyte secondary memory cache, 3072 kilobyte tertiary memory cache, 64-bit ready, Multi-core (2 total), Hyper-threaded (4 total) . I have one graphics card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 [Display adapter]. I attached the latest log that contains the issue. I've read the stickied thread about what to try if my screen is black but I only have one graphics card.
When I linked Reflector 2 to my PC, I tried to use Game capture, which didn't work. I then tried to use Window capture which didn't work, either. I then tried to use Monitor capture, disabling aero, but it didn't work. When I used monitor capture, it's not that it was black like game & window capture, it's that it was as if reflector wasn't even there. I could see all of the windows that I had open besides reflector, though i could see the reflector icon at the bottom of the screen and I could clearly see that it was open because it was covering the left half of my screen and my icons on my desktop. All I saw were my icons and the reflector icon at the bottom (along with firefox and obs).
I then got on again today, trying to do some more research. I enabled aero again. I found that checking compatability mode commonly fixes this issue, so i tried that. It didn't work. (that's what happened in the attached log file). So i tried disabling aero with window capture and it was no longer black, instead it was the same issue as with monitor capture, as if the program wasn't even pulled up on the screen. I could only see what was going on underneath it.
So I'm really at a huge loss for what to do. Any help would be appreciated so so so much.
Are there any other OBS/Reflector settings that may affect what I'm trying to do? Are there any settings on my computer that may be affecting it? Could my firewall be affecting it (when i downloaded i enabled the program to have permission for public and private places and the program works, i just can't see it when i try to source it to OBS)?
Do you think it may just be an issue with the reflector program? should i try airserver? (i mean i'd really rather not since i already paid for reflector and didn't even really have the money for it)
I've tried pretty much everything except for trying to stream, adding it as a source and then going fullscreen with reflector 2, then checking my stream on my phone to see if it's working but from what i've read it probably wouldn't.
Also, I should include that when I talked to a friend about it, they were on a computer not a laptop and had the same issue with it coming up black on game and window capture but when they did monitor capture it showed up on screen for the stream preview.
Please help! I'd like to get back to streaming as soon as possible! When i've previously streamed, I've streamed from an app on my pc that enables me to play the game directly on it and have used game capture to capture the gameplay and it's been fine, it's just far from ideal.
Anyway, thank you so much for your time!
