Question / Help Not Recording Video

It records the audio, not the video.

I'm new to software like this. I used the wizard to set it up.

If anyone has any suggestions, it'd be a huge help.

I'm trying to record video game footage.

My previous experience was with FRAPS, so all I did was run the program, configure with the wizard, create a hotkey for record on/off in the settings, applied the changes, loaded a game and used the hotkey. it did record a video, it's just all black and only sound

That's because the default scene has no sources at all. So it recorded no video because you didn't tell it to record video.
