not recording game audio/sometimes freezes

ookay so im on mac and I use application capture now to record games an it clearly displays sound, but it does not play it when listening, this used to work but now it doesn't, and i changed settings but idk what did it, can someone help

another issue is obs randomly freezes but idk why (after a while)
