Question / Help Not Able to Stream out of Blue

Hey Everyone,

We've been streaming on Twitch for the past few months with no problems. In the past month or so, while streaming through OBS, the square in the bottom right goes red, bit rate drops and we lose frames. We have RCN internet with up to 15mbps, usually see around 10mbps and we stream at 2000kbps/2000kbps Buffer/30fps. We called the ISP and there shouldn't be anything wrong with the internet signal, plugged 2 different computers into the Modem (Windows 10 OS), and a laptop (Windows 8) and still see the same effect. We've dropped the bitrate and buffer down to 1000kbps and still nothing.

I'm banging my head against a wall, just can't stream and no idea what's going on. Doesn't seem to be the connection, tried every server in the US.

Any insight would be amazing!

Thanks for the quick response, Harold! Here are the results, we've been using the New York and Virginia servers with no luck.

Something changed that completely murdered your ability to stream. Possibly between your ISP and twitch.

Ugh exactly! I have no idea how to tell what the problem is, I was on the phone with them for a while and they resent a signal and said there shouldn't be anything wrong but you can't trust them obviously. Is there a way to test if that's the case?

I think we've tried almost everything to fix this, shouldn't change over night like this, huh?

Internet routing changes all the time, thousands of times per day. Something between your ISPs network and Twitch's network went really bad.

Think it'll just fix itself in time? It's been about 3 days now :|

RCN has been really good at this point! Don't feel like selling my soul to Comcast ;[
