Hey guys ;)

I really dont know what settings I should use. First of all my upload is 10k+ so more than enough to offer good quality and btw the game I am streaming is Hearthstone ;)

Recently I switched to 720 @ 60fps @ 2400 kbit/s

Some people told me they have problems on the other hand many others told me how awesome it looks at 60 fps. The difference between 30fps and 60fps is huge in my opinion - looks so much smoother.
In fact, I really dont want to go back to 30fps but on the other hand I dont want to miss new viewers. Maybee lower the bitrate but stay @ 60 fps?

I think my current setup should be fine. I can stream 10 hours and I dont drop a single frame, maybee its just twitch who fucks up wouldnt surprise me.

Would like to get some thoughts from you...

I've actually stopped muckin' about with stream bitrates for a while now. I want my streams to be as high quality as possible and I can't take the blame or somehow be responsible for every piece of communication between Twitch and each and every viewer. For the less than 10% or my very few viewers that are sporadically having issues watching my stream I refer them to the VOD, either on twitch or youtube :)
This was accepted after a few streams and if I'd loose some viewers, well so be it. I hope I can regain them or and even more in the future :)

You won't be able to lower your bitrate and still stream at 720p @ 60 FPS without it looking like blurry crap. 2500 bitrate for 60 FPS 720p is borderline. Many people here on this forum and twitch employees would recommend a non-partner to stream at 720p @ 30 FPS at the so called "golden" 2000 bitrate for non partners. Most of your viewers would be able to watch that, however, I myself agree with you at the fact that 60 FPS makes a huge improvement. Especially in FPS shooters or racing games. I myself simply stream at 720p @ 60 FPS with 3500 bitrate and accept the fact that 30 percent of my viewers won't be able to watch it. You'll have to make the choice yourself though, compromise in quality or in viewers...

bitrate/resolution/fps/game-type, Its all a careful balance.

particularly, 60fps is typically reserved for first person shooters, but honestly 2000 bitrate is plenty for 720@60 JUST for hearthstone, but you will get blurry when you change scenes, otherwise, it will look nice.

I do not recommend this as others have stated that 30fps should be fine. the only thing that really looks nice with 60fps is the animations. and since its a card game you can get away with half the bitrate of a normal stream.

a midground would be 720@48fps and 2000 bitrate. try that out. the people that liked 60fps shouldn't notice the difference, and the people who have trouble with 2500bitrate or more, wont.

This is kind of a necropost, but how has it worked for you so far? I feel that low quality stream, and I consider 2000bitrate 30 fps low, scares away people just as much as buffering.

Yeah, dont necro. 30fps will allow mobile viewers as well as people with slower PCs to watch and can be watched without taking up a bunch of CPU on viewers PC. In that case, I stay longer on streams that don't stutter, buffer or try and pull off 60fps. Instead most of the streams I watch are at 30fps, because 60 is merely for show when it comes to watching. there are few exception but in the end, its about content.

If you need 60fps for a technical reason, drop to a 480p downscale to make it fit in 2000kbps.

30fps definitely does not scare away viewers.
