No VSTs

I have nearly 100 VST plugins and only one shows up in OBS. They are installed in my DAW folder.

That's correct. Not all VST plugins are created to be stand alone and/or work everywhere.
Also, VST 3 aren't supported.

And the use of too many audio plugins leads to issues.

Absolutely! Lots of stories about people spending hours messing with stuff, adding this, adding that, tweaking all over the place, and finally declaring it DONE!...only to find that the bypass button around the whole mess is lightyears better!

Even a single processor can be overdone like that:
Work smarter, not harder. :-)
Like the video says, most things are not that bad to start with. And if they are, you probably can't fix it electronically anyway, and you need to fix the physical source instead. Acoustics are important too.

I should be able to use more than just ONE VST. I could use a good equalizer at least. I installed the Reaper plug-ins just recently after someone on a OBS YouTube video recommended them and they didn't show up either.
