Here is the logfile..

I am trying to do a simple video scrren capture of a video playing on the desktop screen. I loaded the system and let it set my recording the way it thinks best.
Next I went to the "Source window" and clicked the + key to choose a source. I chose Display Capture (did not rename.) (did not tick add existing)
Immediately got the large black screen with all the mumbo jumbo in the background. Clicked the little eye on the small window with the name Display Capture at the bottom of the screen.. It makes the screen clear the mumbo jumbo and go black. Then untick the eye and he Mumbo jumbo returns. But i can minimize the OBS and see the full screen video in the background... however its not on my OBS screen so it can't record... For shits and giggles I did press the "Start Recording" button and nothing happened. What have Ieft out... does my logfile tell you if I have all the settings done right.. Thanks for any suggestions.

Not sure how to do that.. mine is nothing special basic video player.. but not sure what its running on... Maybe VLC as I think that is my automatic player.. Is that good or should I use another video player. I will google it to see how to find out if I have an accelerator and how to turn it off if I have it.. Are you saying that if you have a video accelerator it will not work.. Thanks for the help.

Thank you Rich.. I assume my video media recorder is VLS media player as that is what normally comes up when I just click and video in the directory. If there is a good place to look.. to see what its defaulting to I am all ears.
However I did google how to shut down the hardware accellerator on VLS media recorder and it directed me ot the place to change it from auto to disabled.. so I did.. but it had zero effect on gettng my actual screen to show on the OBS display screen... however it does show my screen repeated 10 times all the time and when I record it does record that.. but no matter what I have playing on my desktop it never records that..but will record what shows on my screen for ever and a day.. the looks like a copy of the screen 10 times...like its an image. Thanks for the help.

I assumed that the "Display Capture" was the source to use for full desktop recording.. but in researchng and reading all I can find.. I came across this.. "OBS streams the info to the desktop..." So do i need a stream account since I don't have one.. I did not even set up the streaming mode. And even now do not think i need it but just asking to be sure... No stone unturned you know.. Also in reading it say might try signin on and run as Admin and I did to no avail. I am drowning.. please help... HaHa.
