Question / Help No Video Capture Source Device....... Just Blank

Hi All. New here as of yesterday. I am trying to choose my video(web cam) source and nothing is appearing. I checked the default GPU for OBS and chose high performance and still nada.. Would appreciate the help.

You might try turning off your Avast Antivirus and see if that is it. I think I have seen a post about this.

THanks let me disable it and see if that works.

Turned that off and closed OBS, plugged cam back in and sound picks up just fine. It still does not detect video..

I am not very good at reading the log files yet. what camera do you have? if USB is it pluged in to a hub?

Windows Settings -> Privacy -> Camera. Make sure "allow apps to use your camera" is enabled, and OBS is shown as enabled under the apps list.

Same for Privacy -> Microphone.
