No Sound

Sorry may be a lame post but am new to the software. Trying to archive family videos using the August VB300 capture device and my laptop with windows 10 home edition. Video recording is great but no sound. Plug the unit into my wife's mac and everything works fine. Can anyone shed some light on why windows is not giving me sound?

Can you post a log and/or pictures of your settings?

Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...

HI, I am also new to the software and having a similar issue. I am producing a live stream for a YouTUbe event on Saturday and need to include some videos alongside presenting. I've brought the video in, but there's no sound. I've tested streaming and my voice is picked up but not the audio linked to the videos. Hope this is an easy fix.. any help very much appreciated!

The log is more needed at this point than screenshots.

Same problem here. New, imported a pre-recorded source, and the sound is muted even though the audio mixer is registering that something is there. Log link: https://obsproject.com/logs/ZmgE36TDixOKfFOL

Edit: Never mind. I needed to enable the audio in the Studio Mode settings.

According to this, OBS isn't even being able to connect to your capture device. Do you have a working image preview when you go to the capture device's properties?
