No sound with Focusrite interface

Hello guys,

I tested all options but I still don't get any sound from my microphone (via Focusrite interface). Because of this problem I had to postpone a livestream event after nothing worked.
I got a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 2nd Gen interface with 2 connected monitor speakers and a microphone which is connected via the instrument/line XLR port on the interface. When I play music for example via Spotify, I get a sound through my speakers and I can see there is an audio signal going through OBS. But when I try to get a sound from my microphone, the audio visualizer in OBS shows nothing. The LED from the interface shows a signal from the microphone.
I already re-installed the Focusrite driver 5 times and checked all Windows settings but it still doesn't work. I also choose the interface in the OBS audio settings for the microphone but that also doesn't work. For example if I test it with FL Studio (Producing DAW Software), I'm able to get a sound from the microphone with the same settings.

Does someone has a solution for this problem?

I'm happy for every helpful post.

I have had this problem myself.

Right before i experienced some serious issues relating to my laptop, someone on here said we need to right click on OBS when we run it and 'run as administrator'

I had a workaround involving sending the sound to the desktop in the Windows settings and telling OBS to listen to the desktop but it was sketchy. Try running OBS as Admin.
