Question / Help No sound with elgato capture and video camera

See other post about no sound, Have a canon vixia hf r700 and elgato capture. When I record or live stream, there is no sound. I know that obs sound is ok because when I switch to another source there is sound. I think it is a simple setting, but I have tried everything I can think of and watched a ton of youtube posts. Everyone else is using classic! Little help please.

Looks like the elgato software on your system is broken.

Thanks. I have talked with ppl at Elgato and they say OBS doesn't support Elgato Video Capture. I have a hard time believing everything else works but the sound. I was hoping it was just a setting I could change. I am trying to stream from a video camera for our school news and this is the only thing that doesn't work. Any ideas?
