Question / Help No sound when recording on a console with a capture card

I'm trying to use OBS to record my console games with a capture card and my recordings don't seem to have any sound even though it shows the bars at the bottom moving, as if its actually producing sound. (XBox 360 and an Avermedia C875 LGP) I currently use X-Split Because of its simplicity and I got a 3 Month trial. I'm hoping to get OBS working before my trial runs out. Help, Please. :)

The bars moving shows what sound is going IN OBS. Above the bars is a gear icon. Click that to see what source is matched with what Audio Stream. You probably want everything in stream 1 checked. Don't go fancy and connect every source to a seperate stream. Then in the Streaming/Recording window you can choose which of these Audio Streams you want going out. Again, you probably want only Stream 1.

I'm sorry... I'm a novice when it comes to OBS, so i don't know what you mean... Can you explain to me in a more simplistic way? What you said was probably really simple, but I'm a noob. Sorry. :P

Well... I told you guys I was a noob. I ended up trying to play the video on Sony Vegas Pro, just for shits and giggles, and it ended up working... Thanks for replying, people who did and sorry again for my idiocy. :)
