Been streaming PC for a while but now i have started playing PS4 and have had issue with sound. When i do not have my headset plugged in i have no issue but when i play a game where i need to hear the sound of the game, i plug my headset into the controller but OBS is not picking up the sound.

I tried to plug my headphones into the back of my monitor but it does not have the jack port so i am kind of stuck.

Anyone have any idea's?

Also sorry if they is in the wrong place.

This is expected. PS4 can only output audio to one place at a time, and when you plug the headset into the controller, the audio stops going out over HDMI.

You need some kind of splitter cable to connect the audio output from the controller to both your headset and your PC.

Does anyone know what kid of splitter i need? Really frustrating that the ps4 does not allow sound via both the tv and headset,

Something like the Elgato Chat Link is probably your best bet, as it's designed specifically for this use case.

The Chat Link is just an analog audio splitter cable, it doesn't matter. You don't need to get the Elgato branded one, it's just an example of the cable you would need.

It does, but the Elgato just has a separate line-in port. You can just connect the cable to the line-in on your PC instead.
