Question / Help No sound using Brio 4K mic (occasionally)

I've had the camera mic working fine, but typically it doesn't. Different combinations of rebooting the computer and when I plug in the usb (2.0) gives me different results. I have a focusrite 2i2 that works fine, but ever since I plugged that in it seems it fights over the mic. I can't use it and the Focusrite at the same time so I unplugged the focusrite and rebooted everything, now the brio mic doesn't seem to work. Can someone help me troubleshoot?
I do have the camera across the room going through a UBS2/ethernet extender then plugged into the computer. When I plug it in directly it has sound.
Log file uploaded, and a screenshot of my audio settings. Are there problems with ethernet extenders and webcams causing sound to fail?

It looks as a hardware issue. You cannot fix hardware issues with software. Install a solid USB connection and you will be fine.

USB extenders and hubs often provoke all kind of issues. There are reports that extending USB cables with active components will work, but in the end you have no guarantee that it will work with your device. I would try not an extender that works across ethernet. Probably too much latency, too much distortion of the USB protocol. I would try a cable connection with a active repeaters such as this: https://www.amazon.de/Meter-Repeater--Verlängerungskabel-Extension-Signalverstärkung/dp/B00FQLNLTU
But beware, I didn't try such a thing. It might work, or not.

Thanks for the help. Suspected as much. It worked fine with another computer, not this one. I'll have to look for the right cable, general usb extenders don't work well with webcams.
